Cookie Policy

By using the site www.ecologygroup.it (“Site”) or receiving our emails, you consent to the use of cookies in accordance with this “Cookies Policy”.

Definition and Purpose – what are cookies

Web pages have no mnemonic function. When navigating from one page of a website to another, you will not be recognized as the same user on each of the pages. A cookie is a small text file where some information about your browsing is stored. Cookies allow you to be recognised by the Website as a unique user. They are sent from the Website to your terminal (computer, tablet, smartphone, notebook, etc.), to be stored and then retransmitted on the next visit.

Cookies ensure a more efficient operation of the Website, improving its navigation, for example:

  • remembering the settings entered, so as not to have to change them every time you enter a new page;
  • storing the information entered (for example the username, the language, the type of browser etc.).

For more information on cookies and privacy, please consult the documentation on the website of the Privacy Guarantor at the following link: http://www.garanteprivacy.it/.

Access to the Site and browsing the Site express your consent to receive cookies.

Duration and Type of Cookies

The Data Controller is Ecology Group with headquarters in Via dell’Industria, 35 – 36030 Sarcedo (VI) Italy, which can be contacted at info@ecologugroup.it. The processing operations will be carried out by Appointees, selected by the Data Controller, who operate under its direct authority in compliance with the instructions received.

Duration and type of cookies

Some cookies are automatically deleted at the end of the browsing session, while others remain stored in the terminals, normally hosted in the browser used (for example: Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, etc.). There are therefore two types of duration for cookies:

Temporary cookies
Temporary cookies (or session cookies) are removed from your computer when you close your browser. They are used to store temporary information, for example the items in the cart. Almost all the cookies of the websites displayed are session cookies whose activity ends when you close your Internet browser.

Persistent cookies

Persistent cookies are cookies stored on the computer or other device of the users during a browsing session, but that remain on the computer or other device after the end of the aforementioned browsing session. Persistent cookies fulfil various functions in the interest of users (they are used to store information, for example the username and password, so as to avoid having to rewrite them each time you visit the same website). They can remain stored in the device for a variable period of time, nevertheless determined, depending on the function they are performing.

These two types of cookies (session and persistent) can in turn be “owners” and “third parties”. When we refer to proprietary cookies, we mean the cookies transmitted by the owner of the websites. When we refer to third-party cookies, we mean the cookies transmitted by third parties, therefore set by a website other than the one you are currently visiting. The latter fall under the direct and exclusive responsibility of the third party manager.

At any time you can delete all cookies from the browser. However, permanently disabling all cookies may result in difficulty navigating or, sometimes, the inability to use certain functionalities of the Site. For example, you could no longer: use e-commerce stores to make your purchases, enter the Customer Area and manage the products you have purchased, use web-based software, etc.

Use of Cookies on this site

Our Site uses the following types of cookies:

  1. Browsing cookies: we use navigation cookies to allow you to view our website, to make it work properly, to create your account, to log in by accessing restricted areas and to be able to proceed with purchases. These cookies are essential for the proper functioning of our Site.
  2. Functional cookies: We use functional cookies to remember your preferences and to help you use our Website as effectively as possible, for example by storing the products you have previously viewed. Functional cookies are not essential to the operation of the Website, but they add services by improving the overall browsing experience.
  3. Analytical cookies: We use analytical cookies to better understand how our users use the Website, to optimise and improve the Website and to ensure that it is always effective and efficient for users. The data we collect concerns the web pages visited, the type of platform used, date and time information and data such as the number of clicks on a given page, the words searched and the texts entered during the use of the Site.

Disabling and Deleting Cookies (OPT-OUT)

The majority of Internet browsers are initially set to accept cookies automatically. This means that you have the option, at any time, to set your browser to accept all cookies, only some, or to reject them, disabling their use by the sites. Furthermore, you can normally set your browser preferences so that you are notified each time a cookie is stored on your computer.

Finally, at the end of each browsing session, you can delete the collected cookies from the hard disk of your device. If you want to delete cookies installed in the cookie folder of the browser used, please note that each browser has different procedures for managing settings.
